Wadsworth Junction offers an Affordable Housing Program consisting of 18 apartment homes reserved for households whose income qualifies under the 60% Area Median Income (AMI) limits.

What is the Affordable Housing Program?

The Affordable Housing Program provides designated apartment homes at reduced rental rates for households that meet specific income requirements. Eligibility is based on household income and other program guidelines.

Do you accept Housing Vouchers?

If you participate in a voucher program or are applying to an affordable unit, please contact the office for assistance.

How many affordable apartment homes are available?

Wadsworth Junction offers 18 affordable apartment homes through our Affordable Housing Program.

Who may qualify for affordable housing?

Applicants may qualify if their household income falls within the 60% AMI (Area Median Income) guidelines established for the program.

What does AMI mean?

Area Median Income (AMI) is a measure used to determine eligibility for affordable housing programs. Maximum income limits are established based on the median income for the area and vary according to household size. In addition to meeting the applicable AMI limit, applicants must demonstrate a minimum gross household income equal to at least two (2) times the monthly base rent.

What documents do I need to pre-qualify?

To begin the application process, each household must provide:

• A completed application for every household member 18 years of age or older
• Income verification documents, including but not limited to: 
  • Two months of consecutive pay stubs
  • Additional documentation may be required depending on each person's source of income

What additional income documents may be required?

Our leasing team will advise you on any documentation needed based on your individual circumstances.  Additional verification may be requested for income sources such as:

• Social Security benefits
• Retirement or pension income
• Disability benefits
• Child support
• Self-employment income
• Unemployment benefits
• Other forms of income

Does submitting an application guarantee approval?

No. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval. All applicants must meet program eligibility requirements and provide the necessary documentation for income verification.

Can the program requirements change?

Yes. Affordable housing program guidelines, documentation requirements, and income limits may change based on regulatory requirements.
